Ogun LG Polls: Ado-Odo/Ota APC Chairmanship Candidate, Wasiu Lawal Casts Vote, Applauds Electoral Process
The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Ado-Odo/Ota, Hon. Wasiu Lawal, has cast his vote in the Ogun State local government election.
Lawal exercised his civic duty at Polling Unit 039, Otta Ward 2, along Ilogbo Road.
After voting, Lawal praised the electoral process and expressed his appreciation for the large turnout of citizens participating in the election.
A chartered accountant and former chairman of the caretaker committee of the Council, Lawal commended the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) for the peaceful conduct of the election.
“I am impressed with the State electoral commission for this peaceful election they’ve organized. I think this is one of the best in recent times in the history of our local government,” Lawal told journalists after casting his ballot.
Speaking further, the APC candidate, who is optimistic about his chances of victory, promised to uphold his campaign commitments. “I will ensure uniform development across the 16 wards of the local government, which was my core promise during the campaign,” he stated.
