Ogun PDP Chairman, Abayomi Tella Mourns Death of APC Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Hon. Rotn. Abayomi Tella, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Hon. Tunde Oladunjoye, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Oladunjoye, a former Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, was widely regarded as a dedicated leader and a skilled communicator whose influence extended beyond party lines.
In a statement released on Saturday, Tella described Oladunjoye’s death as a significant loss to both his family and the political and media communities in Ogun State. “Though we stood on different sides of the political spectrum, we recognize his unwavering commitment as a leader and his impactful contributions to the people he served,” Tella said.
Tella, a former Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota local government, highlighted Oladunjoye’s tenure, also as Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government under the PDP, noting that his efforts left a lasting legacy of progress in the region.
Oladunjoye was celebrated for his eloquence and intellectual contributions to political discourse, particularly in his role as APC Publicity Secretary. Tella praised his ability to enrich the media landscape, stating, “His gifted communication skills elevated political dialogue in Ogun State, and his absence will be deeply felt.”
The PDP chairman extended his condolences to Oladunjoye’s loved ones and the APC, emphasizing unity in mourning despite political differences. “This is a painful loss not only to the APC and his immediate family but to the entire political class and media community across the state,” he added.
Tella further expressed prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant Oladunjoye’s family strength and to forgive his shortcomings.
“We pray that Allah, in His boundless compassion, rewards his good deeds and welcomes him into Aljannah Firdaus as his eternal resting place,” he said. Read More
