Ogun State Institute of Technology Honors Engr. Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo with Honorary Fellowship Award

The Ogun State Institute of Technology, located in the Ado-Odo/Ota local government area, has conferred an Honorary Fellowship Award on Engineer Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo, a multi-disciplinary professional and philanthropist. The prestigious recognition was presented to her during the institution’s 6th Convocation Ceremony on February 26, 2025.

According to a statement from the Institute, the award honors Agemo-Okuboyejo’s outstanding contributions to education, particularly in the Ado-Odo/Ota community. Her unwavering commitment to youth development and the positive impact she has had on both primary and secondary school pupils, especially girls, was also highlighted. The institution commended her tireless efforts in fostering the growth of young people in the community.

Engr. Agemo-Okuboyejo was one of the distinguished individuals celebrated at the event in Igbesa, Ado-Odo/Ota.

In her speech, Agemo-Okuboyejo expressed her gratitude to the Ogun State Institute of Technology for recognizing her contributions and those of other key supporters of the institution’s development.

As part of her philanthropic endeavors, Agemo-Okuboyejo, a UK-based engineer, awarded N1.8 million to 36 graduating students in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements. The funds were intended to motivate them to continue striving for excellence.

Engineer Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo

Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo is a recognized expert in risk management, information security, and policy development. She has a distinguished career, having held leadership roles at renowned organizations such as ExxonMobil, Chevron, Centrica, and the UK’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNEZ). Additionally, she served as Chief of Staff to the CEO of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation under the UK’s Ministry of Defence, further showcasing her leadership acumen.

Agemo-Okuboyejo holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a Master’s in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, and an Executive Master’s in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Currently, she serves as a Cyber Risk Subject Matter Expert for the National Energy System Operator in the UK and is the Executive Director of the Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo Renaissance Project.
