OGUN WEST 2027: Hon. Ojugbele Rallies Imeko-Afon Leaders, Declares Senate Ambition
Imeko-Afon, Ogun State – As political activities gear up ahead of the 2027 general elections, one of the senatorial aspirants under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Jimoh Olushola Ojugbele, has met with key stakeholders, coordinators, and party leaders in Imeko-Afon Local Government to formally declare his intention to contest for the Ogun West Senatorial seat.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Ojugbele expressed gratitude to prominent party figures and commended their efforts in shaping the political landscape of Ogun West. He particularly appreciated the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, CON, for his visible developmental strides in the region.
“I sincerely thank our dear Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his unprecedented love for Ogun West. It is under his leadership that our district is witnessing accelerated development,” said Ojugbele. He also paid glowing tribute to the National Leader of the party, Chief Segun Osoba, and the current Senator representing Ogun West, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola-Yayi, CON.
He praised Senator Adeola for his impactful projects and empowerment programmes across the senatorial district, saying:
“I appreciate the man of the people, Mr Talk and Do and the people’s Senator, Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, for his transformation of Ogun West within just two years in office.”
Hon. Ojugbele emphasized the importance of legacy and generational impact, declaring his readiness to continue the developmental vision already laid down by Senator Adeola.
“The time has come for us to choose the legacy we want to leave for the next generation. I am ready for the task ahead to build on the infrastructural development and unity within Ogun West,” he stated.
Speaking in support, Alhaji Atoba, Yewa North Coordinator for the OjuYayi 2027 movement, described Ojugbele as a visionary who shares the values of truth, liberty, and justice.
“Just like Julius Caesar saw Rome as his first home, Hon. Ojugbele sees Ogun West as his true constituency. Financially and mentally, he is determined to uphold individual liberty to its fullest,” Atoba remarked.
Also lending his voice, Chief Dele Oderinde, a retired CBN Director and respected leader in Imeko-Afon, described Ojugbele as a trustworthy figure.
“He is a man of his word, committed to development and progress. He will preserve the green leaves even while the dry ones still stand,” Oderinde said poetically.
Alhaji Semiu Yekeen, fondly known as Alagbadan, highlighted Ojugbele’s integrity and dedication to the people.
“Even after serving in the House of Representatives, he has continued to put the people first. Like Senator Adeola, he understands the needs of both the young and old in Ogun West,” Yekeen affirmed.
