Ota, Ogun State — In a strategic move to consolidate grassroots support ahead of the forthcoming Ogun State House of Assembly election, Chief Mrs. Olukemi Adeogun, the Yeyegunwa of Ota Awori Kingdom, has convened a high-level meeting with all ward chairmen in Ota Constituency 1.

The meeting, described as crucial to her campaign momentum, brought together key political stakeholders across both urban and rural wards within the constituency.

Among those in attendance were the urban ward chairmen from Ota Ward 1, Ota Ward 2, Ota Ward 3, and Sango Ward. They were joined by their rural counterparts representing Ijoko, Ilogbo, Iju, and Atan wards.

During the session, the ward leaders openly shared their perspectives on the political landscape and pledged their support for Adeogun’s ambition.

Notably, the chairmen highlighted her unique position in the race, stating that she remains “the only woman in the race,” while wishing her success in the upcoming contest.

Reinforcing the campaign’s direction, the Director-General of YKA Campaign & Consultation, Hon. Muka Salako, emphasised the importance of unity and grassroots mobilisation.

He urged the ward chairmen to stand firmly behind the aspirant, stressing that their collective backing is vital to securing victory at the polls.

Salako also reassured stakeholders of the campaign’s commitment to impactful governance, stating that “YKA will deliver the dividends of democracy to all and sundry in Ota Constituency 1.”

With growing endorsements at the ward level, Adeogun’s campaign continues to gather momentum, positioning her as a strong contender in the race for representation in the Ogun State House of Assembly.
