The Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba, has directed Abiodun Alabi to take over from Hakeem Odumosu as the new commissioner of police in Lagos State.
While Odumosu was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Alabi was until his latest appointment the Bauchi state commissioner of police.
The Deputy Force Public Relations Officer (DFPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the directive on Friday.
The new Lagos CP, Alabi is expected to resume at the Lagos Command, Ikeja, on Monday.
Odumosu was also directed by the IGP had also to resume at the Force Headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
