The Ogun State Government is set to conduct the first round of the poliovirus outbreak response campaign targeting children aged 0-59 months.
According to the executive secretary of the Ogun State primary health care development board, Dr. E. A Ogunsola, the exercise which will hold between Saturday, April 9 to Tuesday, April 12, 2022, is aimed at sustaining the achievement of interrupting poliovirus in society.

Dr Ogunsola, at a meeting of stakeholders ahead of the campaign, said the exercise would involve the use of House-to-House vaccination teams, Fixed postsz transit teams and others for the administration of oral polio vaccine.
He appealed to parents and guardians to make their wards available and cooperate with officials who will be visiting schools, markets, religious houses, motor parks and so on.
