Royal Applause… Rotary Club Installs New President, Honours Olota of Ota

The Rotary Club of Victoria Island East marked a significant milestone on Sunday, July 20, 2025, as it officially installed Rotarian Mokesioluwa Seun-Adedamola (popularly known as Akesi) as its 39th President.

Held at the elegant Cuson Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, the ceremony drew a host of dignitaries, most notably the Royal Father of the Day, His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege, Ph.D (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode), the revered Olota of the Ancient and Paramount Ottaland.

In a statement released and made available to newsheadline247 by Prince Adeyemi Olusesi, Principal Secretary to the Olota, His Majesty congratulated the new club president and expressed confidence in her leadership. “Rotary has an outstanding history of service to humanity,” the monarch noted. “I am confident Rotarian Seun-Adedamola will build on this legacy and inspire greater impact.”

Kabiyesi also commended Rotary’s enduring commitment to humanitarian service, urging members to continue their mission of compassion and community upliftment. “As a people, we have a shared responsibility to care for one another,” he emphasized. “Rotary has always stood as a beacon of this value.”
