Chairing the event was the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, who welcomed a royal delegation led by His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Ph.D., the Olota of Otta, Aworiland.
As royal father of the day, the Olota offered warm prayers for the newlyweds, wishing them a life filled with peace, prosperity, and shared joy.
He praised the collaborative spirit displayed by both families and extended royal greetings to the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, along with the Nwabuoku and Daibo-Emiko royal families for what he described as a “truly magnificent cultural celebration.”

“This is a powerful reminder of the beauty of our traditions,” the monarch remarked. “It is heartening to witness such unity, elegance, and honour paid to our rich heritage.”
