The governor assured that the full weight of the law would be brought upon all involved in the murder
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has expressed sadness over the gruesome murder of a young lady, Bamise Ayanwola.
The body of the 22-year-old Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) passenger was found with some parts missing.
Governor Sanwo-Olu in an address on Monday night said the life of every citizen matters, adding that the government does not take security for granted.
He vowed that no stone would be unturned in the probe and effort to arrest everyone found culpable in the incident.
“The driver of the BRT bus involved in this unfortunate incident has been arrested.
“Lagos Bus Service Ltd has been directed to cooperate fully with security agencies in their investigations,” he said.
The governor assured that the full weight of the law would be brought upon all involved in the murder.
Sanwo-Olu commiserated with Bamise’s family, friends and prayed that God would console them.
Promising that the deceased will “get the justice she deserves”, Sanwo-Olu said BRT services remain safe despite the unfortunate incident.
