#AnambraDecides: Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has congratulated Anambra State governor-elect, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, on his victory at the state governorship election.
Murray-Bruce who represented Bayelsa East Senatorial District at the national assembly, from 2015 to 2019, however, urged, Soludo to “unite and take Anambra even further.”
The Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, had on early Wednesday declared Soludo the winner of the Anambra State governorship election which was conducted last Saturday.
Soludo defeated Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that came second in the election and Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress, APC that emerged third in the exercise.
Murray-Bruce, the founder of the Silver Bird Group who expressed his congratulatory message to the governor-elect in a post on his verified Twitter handle said, “Your victory at the just concluded elections is proof that you’re the peoples choice.”
The message read; “Hearty congratulations to my friend, the incoming governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
“Your victory at the just concluded elections is proof that you’re the peoples choice, and even the hitch couldn’t change this. Now it’s time to unite and take Anambra even further.”
