Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo Unveils “Beyond Promises” Manifesto, Vows Real Results for Ado-Odo/Ota

A frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo, has unveiled a sweeping and deeply personal manifesto titled “Beyond Promises,” positioning herself as a candidate focused on delivery rather than rhetoric ahead of the 2027 elections under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

In a compelling narrative that blends personal history, professional pedigree and community commitment, Agemo-Okuboyejo framed her political ambition as a homecoming driven by purpose and responsibility to the people of Ado-Odo/Ota. She declared that her journey through global boardrooms and policy corridors has always pointed back to her roots, stressing that her candidacy is anchored on tangible work already underway rather than future assurances.

“There is a moment in every person’s life when they must decide what their journey is truly for,” she stated, reflecting on her career across multinational corporations and high-level government engagements. “Every achievement, every milestone and every lesson learned has always pointed me back to one place — HOME.”

The manifesto, she explained, is not a conventional political document filled with pledges, but “a blueprint, built from experience, grounded in love and already in motion,” adding pointedly, “Because while others were making promises, I was already working.”

Drawing from deeply rooted family values, Agemo-Okuboyejo infused her message with Yoruba wisdom passed down through generations. Quoting her mother, she said, “Atẹlẹwọ ẹni nikan ni kii tanijẹ,” meaning “Only the work of your own palms will never deceive you,” a principle she said has guided her life and career. She also recalled her grandfather’s counsel, “Maa jẹ sababi ire ni gbogbo igba,” translated as “Be a force for good always,” alongside her father’s charge, “Jẹ ki amin ẹ ma yọ ni gbogbo ibi to wa,” meaning “Make your presence symbolise excellence always.”

According to her, these values form the moral backbone of her ambition and leadership philosophy. “Three pillars of wisdom. One clear direction,” she stated, underscoring her resolve to translate inherited ideals into measurable progress for her constituency.

Agemo-Okuboyejo highlighted her extensive global experience, noting her work with major organisations including ExxonMobil, Chevron, the UK Ministry of Defence and Accenture, as well as her academic credentials spanning engineering, petroleum studies and public administration. Yet, she maintained that her most meaningful work has been at the grassroots through the Temitayo Agemo Okuboyejo Renaissance Project (TAORP), a self-funded initiative focused on education and community welfare.

“Not for applause nor political capital, but because I am determined to follow the footsteps of my grandfather and father,” she said, emphasizing that her track record of community investment predates her political ambition.

In a statement that resonated with identity and patriotism, she added, “I may have worked in boardrooms across the world, but I have never forgotten where I come from. NaijaBabe is not just a nickname, it is a declaration that no matter where the world takes me, my identity and my roots would always come first.”

Central to her manifesto is the C.H.A.S.E agenda, which she described as a practical and evolving framework shaped by listening to constituents and leveraging decades of experience in engineering, policy and service. While she avoided reducing it to mere political branding, she insisted it represents a “living, breathing framework” tailored to the unique needs and strengths of Ado-Odo/Ota.

As the 2027 race gradually gathers momentum, Agemo-Okuboyejo is positioning herself as a results-driven candidate with both global exposure and local commitment, urging voters to judge her not by words but by evidence. “I am not asking for your support because I have the best words. I am asking because I have the record, the plan, the passion and the roots to deliver what this constituency deserves,” she said.

Closing her address on a note of continuity and determination, she declared, “I have already started. TAORP is proof of that. C.H.A.S.E is the next chapter. Beyond Promises is not where I end, it is where I begin.”

Her message signals an early attempt to redefine political engagement in the constituency, shifting the conversation from campaign promises to demonstrable impact as the electoral cycle approaches.
