President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Saturday depart Abuja on a multi-state trip to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos States, in what is expected to be a mix of official engagements, condolence visits and cultural appearances.

The President’s travel itinerary was confirmed in a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, Tinubu’s first stop will be Borno State, where he is scheduled to commission several projects executed by the administration of Governor Babagana Zulum, alongside initiatives supported by the Federal Government.

While in Maiduguri, the President will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

From Borno, President Tinubu will proceed to Bauchi State to condole with the state government and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the revered Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27.

Following the condolence visit, the President will head to Lagos, where he is expected to spend the end-of-year holidays.

During his stay in the commercial capital, Tinubu will serve as Guest of Honour at the historic Eyo Festival, scheduled for December 27 at Tafawa Balewa Square.

The festival will celebrate notable personalities, including the President’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.

The trip underscores the President’s blend of governance, cultural engagement and personal obligations as the year draws to a close. Read More
