Today, Peter Obi Finally Accepts Supreme Court’s judgment, says Obidient movement remains

    Peter Obi, The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has accepted the judgment of the Supreme Court which affirmed the election of President Bola Tinubu.

    Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, however, said the judgment would not bring an end to of the Obidient movement. He added that with the legal battle over, the Labour Party was now in opposition.

    The Supreme Court had on September 26, upheld the September 6 judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal affirming the declaration of Bola Tinubu as duly elected president.

    The seven-member panel, led by Justice John Inyang-Okoro, dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar, who came second in the election, and Obi who took the third position in the poll.

     “In the coming months we will build the party, we will make it stronger. We will build those young people. We will come out stronger and more committed to a new Nigeria.

    The future is dynamic. Our focus now is to ensure that we do the right thing for the benefit of Nigeria,”  Obi said.
