Top Nigerian Artistes Storm NRC Ahead of 2026 Valentine Love Train

A delegation of prominent Nigerian entertainers has paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), Dr. Kayode Opeifa, as preparations intensify for the 2026 Valentine Love Train.


The team included celebrated musician Sunny Neji, Managing Director of Ojez Entertainment Limited Joseph Odobeatu, and veteran vocalist Yinka Davies.


The visit, held ahead of the February 14, 2026 event, forms part of final arrangements for the Valentine-themed rail experience scheduled to depart from the Mobolaji Johnson Train Station.


NRC Applauds Creative Industry Collaboration
Receiving the delegation, Dr. Opeifa commended the entertainment industry for choosing the national rail system as host for the annual celebration. He described the collaboration as a sign of growing public trust in the corporation’s improved safety standards and service delivery.


“The 2026 edition aims to deliver an unforgettable experience while deepening public engagement with the rail service,” he said.

Star-Studded Entertainment Lineup
Organisers revealed that this year’s edition will feature an expanded lineup of entertainers, including Charles Inojie and Segun Arinze, alongside musical performances and comedy acts.


Guests are expected to enjoy live music, a couple’s game show, fashion showcases, and special stage performances throughout the Lagos–Ibadan–Lagos train ride, culminating in a Valentine banquet ball.


Over the years, the Valentine Love Train has become a signature event on the NRC’s festive calendar, drawing couples, families, and fun seekers eager to combine travel, leisure, and entertainment in a unique rail experience.
