Mudashiru Obasa, the ousted Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has been reinstated following the resignation of Mojisola Meranda during Monday’s plenary session.
Meranda had ealier resigned due to the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s failure to resolve the conflict with her predecessor, Mudasiru Obasa.
After Meranda’s resignation, Obasa was nominated for the position by lawmaker Noheem Adams, who represents Eti-Osa I.
In his speech, Obasa expressed gratitude to the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), his fellow lawmakers, and his deputy, Ms. Meranda, for their support.
The House then adjourned indefinitely. Further details will be provided later.
