The Yayi Mandate Group has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots political participation as leaders across the 12 wards of Obafemi Owode Local Government converged for their monthly meeting with a focus on the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

The meeting, presided over by the Group Chairman, Hon. Mutair Adisa Ajayi, centered on mobilization strategies to ensure that every eligible resident is registered to vote ahead of the next general elections.

In attendance were prominent political figures, including the former Local Government Chairman, Hon. Fatai Mustapha Eruobodo; former Special Adviser to the Governor, Dr. Akinbile; former Ogun State House of Assembly member, Hon. Dele Erisan; and the APC State Deputy Woman Leader, Mrs. Hannah Isijola, among other party leaders.

Speaking after the meeting, the leaders emphasized that voter registration was the foundation of democratic participation and urged residents not to be left out.

“Our mandate is to strengthen democracy in Obafemi Owode by ensuring that every eligible citizen is mobilized and registered to vote. This is the first step towards effective representation and development,” Hon. Ajayi said.

The Yayi Mandate Group also reiterated its readiness to sustain monthly engagements across the wards as part of its grassroots sensitization drive, noting that political power must remain rooted in the people.
