There is no doubt that Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State is marginalized talking growth and development. It is a senatorial district in need of accelerated development. As far as APC is concerned, the people of Ogun West that are members of the party see the senatorial seat contest as the highest elective position their district will be standing for election in 2023.

Ogun West cannot afford to joke with the position. The Senator is clearly first among equals. Yayi was in the Lagos State House of Assembly twice. He was in the green chamber once. He is a two-time senator of the Federal republic. The nearness to him in terms of experience is a three-time house of representatives member.

Apart from experience, Senator Adeola’s contributions to community development since his return home has been outstanding and has endeared him to the people of Ogun West. It is the reason why he has become the candidate to beat as the race for the Senate seat in 2023 hots up. Ogun West has a lot to gain from a win for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola in 2023. Electrification of Ayetoro-Yewa campus of Olabisi Onabanjo University a citadel that has taken university education very close to marginalized Yewa people was largely sponsored by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi. The campus has been running on costly diesel until Senator Adeola’s intervention.

To further demonstrate his passion for the growth of education in Ogun West and his determination to support the only Federal Government-owned tertiary institution in Ogun West, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi has built and donated a state of the art library to the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro to boost learning for the youths of his land of birth.

The Yayi Foundation of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola has been awarding scholarships to youths of Ogun West willing to further their education in tertiary institutions of their choice nationwide. This has not stopped.

The Asade Agunloye Pavilion located at Empire Field, Ilaro.the headquarters of Ogun West is at present being transformed into a mini stadium that will rival.the Oju Ode Oba pavilion in Ijebu Ode. It is a multimillion naira project that is dear to the heart of the senator. The Asade Agunloye Pavilion is the number one events venue for the people of Ogun West.

Many communities, markets and streets in Ogun West have benefitted from borehole projects of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola. They have also been enjoying streets lights erected by the senator for ease of movement and for security purpose.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi has never shied away from making donations towards the spread of both Christianity and Islam. He has been given financial support to support the building of Mosques and Churches in Ogun West.

Senator Adeola has just rewarded excellence at the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro with the cash reward of N500,000 each to two best graduating students of the institution during the recently held graduation ceremony.

The Senator has facilitated agribusiness training for many youths of the senatorial district to underline his believe in teaching the people of Ogun West how to fish instead if giving them fish. This he believes will grow wealth in the district and lift people above the poverty line.

Added Point: Senator Adeola had sponsored a bill in the red chamber of the Senate for the upgrading of the only Federal Government higher school of learning in Ogun West to be upgraded to a university. The bill had passed all necessary reading stages.
