President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf, who was involved in a bike accident in Abuja on December 26, 2017 has been discharged from the hospital.

Bashir Ahmad, the President’s Personal Assistant on New Media, confirmed the development on Friday on his Social media handles.

Bashir Ahmed said, “Yusuf Muhammadu Buhari has been discharged from Cedarcrest Hospitals, Abuja. Read full statement released today by the hospital.

“Wish him a complete and speedy recovery,” Ahmad wrote.

Report monitored on The Punch NG shows that the Presidency had, earlier in the day, issued a statement indicating that Yusuf’s health had improved remarkably and that he was ready to be discharged.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists.
