The Ogun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Dapo Abiodun while celebrating his seeming victory posted that he is “a living testimony of the fact that man is not GOD”.

This is coming ahead of his official declaration as Ogun State governor-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Also in a similar message, the billionaire oil mogul posted an appreciation of Almighty God while thanking the people of the state.

Collation of the results, council by council, is still ongoing in Abeokuta, but all indications point to his victory over Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Abdulkabir Akinlade and Senator Buruji Kashamu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a post on Twitter, Abiodun wrote: “Unspeakable Joy. Limitless Happiness. We are GRATEFUL to GOD Almighty and the good people of Ogun State”.

Abiodun similarly sought God’s favour when he voted on Saturday. “I VOTED. May the Almighty God grant us VICTORY!”

And he got the victory not surprisingly as the Ogun State people rejected overwhelmingly Amosun’s stooge, Akinlade and Senator Kashamu.

From results declared so far, Abiodun led in Odeda, Ijebu East, Sagamu, Odogbolu and Ijebu-Ode, Abeokuta South local governments.

In Odeda, he polled 8030 votes, while the APM candidate got 6454 votes. PDP came home with 1041 votes. In Ijebu east, Abiodun got 10,426 almost doubling APM Votes of 5147. PDP came second with 5296 votes.
