The Olota of Otta, Arole Iganmode Ogunfunminire, His Royal Majesty, Prof. Adeyemi Obalanlege on Wednesday made a substantial cash donation towards the distribution of food items to the people of Otta and its environs ahead of Ogun statewide lockdown over coronavirus.
Oba Obalanlege made this donation early today in his bid to ensure that his subjects (Native and Non-Natives) are relieved during the 14 days lockdown in the State as declared by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to Sulaiman Olusesi, the Special Assistant to the Awori monarch, “the donation was made in the spirit of complementing the efforts of the State Government led by Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, GCAN in providing palliative measures to people while the lockdown last.”

He added that Oba Obalanlenge charged all and sundry to comply with the directives of the Government most especially in the areas of Stay at home order.
The food items will be distributed on Thursday, 2nd April 2020 to the less privileged across the Kingdom on the basis of house to house outreach.
Also, the Seriki of Otta, Awori Kingdom, High Chief Olarenwaju Bashorun equally supported the course with a cash donation.
