Queen of Olota of Ota, Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege, on Wednesday, hosted the Primary and Secondary School teachers who coordinated the maiden edition of her project – The Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege Science Quiz Competition.
During the meeting held at the palace of Olota of Ota, Olori Obalanlege expressed her profound gratitude to all the teachers including representatives from Ogun state Ministry of Education for the successful conduct of the Quiz Competition even in her physical absence.
Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi, the Personal Assistant to His Majesty, Olota of Otta, Awori Kingdom, made this known in a statement he signed and made available to newsheadline247.
The objective of the annual science quiz competition is to inspire competition and interest in science and technology amongst young people, Olusesi stated.
According to him, the revered Awori queen also reiterated her firm readiness to continue to motivate young ones on the need to embrace sciences through discovering future scientists among others.

Our beloved mother, Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege hosted the Primary and Secondary School teachers who coordinated Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege Science Quiz Competition on Wednesday 13, 2022 at Olota’s Palace .
Recall, Olori Oloruntoyin Science Quiz Competition fina l(Maiden Edition) held on 22nd February 2022 at Iganmode Grammar School and was a successful outing. The Science Quiz Competition was revered as first of its kind with participation extending to public primary schools in Ado-Odo/OtaLocal Government.
The objective of the annual science quiz competition is to inspire competition and interest in science and technology amongst young people; to groom future engineers, mathematicians, scientists, and technologists; and encourage young minds to think innovatively on solutions to counter challenges plaguing their immediate environment.
At the interactive session, Olori affirmed her firm readiness to continue to motivate young ones on the need to embrace sciences through discovering future scientists among others. She thanked all the teachers including representatives from Ogun state Ministry of Education for the successful conduct of the Quiz Competition even in her physical absence. Seeking for their continuous support, Olori assured the team of her commitment to ensure improvements in the identified shortcomings to enhance subsequent editions.
At the interactive session, Ogun State Science Teachers Association (STAN) Coordinator 1, Mrs Sodiya Grace, on behalf of the executives announced the decision of the body to confer on Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege with the prestigious honour as the Grand Matron of the body, and she graciously accepted the offer.
In the company of Olori at the assessment session were; Yeyegunwa of Otta, Awori Kingdom, High Chief(Mrs) Olukemi Adeniji Adeogun and Yeyemesho of Otta, Awori Kingdom, Chief (Mrs) Olayinka Somoye.
