Tinubu, Ramaphosa Discuss Strengthening Diplomatic, Economic Ties

President Tinubu stated that President Ramaphosa’s warm welcome and commitment to mutual respect and cooperation demonstrate the strength of Nigeria and South Africa’s relationship.

President Bola Tinubu met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Thursday, June 20, for diplomatic, economic, and bilateral talks, following the successful Presidential Inauguration ceremony of Ramaphosa on Wednesday, June 19.

Sharing photos of the meeting via his X handle on Thursday, June 20, Tinubu said he is looking forward to collaborations for the progress of the continent.

He wrote: “I had the honor of attending President Cyril Ramaphosa’s inauguration in Pretoria yesterday, and today I met with him for a bilateral meeting. Our discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and enhancing the economic ties between Nigeria and South Africa.

“President Ramaphosa’s warm welcome and dedication to mutual respect and cooperation reflect the depth of our relationship.
