ICYMI: Taiwo Oyekan’s Foundation Trains Summer Coaching Students On Soap, Disinfectant Productions
Participants Laud Human Capital Development Initiative
Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation is determined to Integrate Formal and Informal Education to prepare Students and Youths
As part of its Human Capital Development Initiatives, a non-governmental organization (NGO), Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation took steps to enhance skills and knowledge within the community.
In August 2013, the foundation organised Skill Acquisition and Vocational Trainings for its Free Summer Coaching Students in Lagos, Nigeria.
Hon. Taiwo Oyekan‘s team supervised the Soap and Disinfectants Production Process at the Coaching Centre at St. John’s Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos Island, Lagos.
According to Hon. Oyekan, the
Skill Acquisition Training will propel Capacity Building, Improve Earning Power and Quality of life of Trainees.
“At Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation, we packaged different Skills Acquisition and Vocational Training Classes to further empower the Summer Coaching Students”, the Foremost Lagos Council Legislator said.
He stated further that with the Intensive Training, the participants would be able to source for the right Soap and Disinfectant Production materials to produce for Home Use and Commercial purpose.
Continuing, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Hon. Oyekan said Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation is determined to Integrate Formal and Informal Education to prepare Students and Youths for the 21st Century Emerging Socioeconomic challenges.
He charged the participants to make optimal use of the numerous Skill Acquisition and Vocational Trainings they acquired.
Speaking onbehalf of the Trainees, a Senior Secondary School Student, (SS2 Class), Miss Sarat Sulaimon commended Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation for its unrelenting effort to promote learning and knowledge acquisition among Students and Youths in Lagos State and Nigeria.
Miss Sulaimon said: “With the Skill Acquisition we have learnt today, we can Produce Liquid Soap and Disinfectants. We can earn proceeds from the sales and save for the future”.
Dozens of 2•5-Litres Liquid Soaps and Disinfectants were produced under the most acceptable Production Standard and Safety.
Recall that Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation had trained Scores of Students on Catering and Cake Baking, Tailoring/Fashion Designing, Hairdressing And Cosmetology, Computer-Digital Literacy and Musicology.
Hon. Oyekan had also organized Career Talk and Mentorship For Youths across Isale-Eko, Olowogbowo And Okoo Faji Communities on Lagos Island Local Government Area. More
