Update: APC Sweeps All 20 Councils In Ogun LG Polls
OGSIEC records indicate that there were 19 registered political parties participating in the elections.
The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has announced the results of the 2024 Local Government Chairmanship and Councilorship elections, revealing that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) won in all 20 Local Government Areas and 236 wards in the state.
The announcement was made today by OGSIEC Chairman Mr. Babatunde Osibodu at the Commission’s headquarters in Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, where he presented the official results of the elections during a live broadcast.
According to Mr. Osibodu, a total of 613,156 votes were cast in the Chairmanship elections across the 20 local government areas.
