Nigeria has lost one of its foremost business titans and philanthropists, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, who passed away at the age of 94.

The sad news was confirmed on Saturday through a heartfelt Facebook post by his Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid.

“It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of our beloved father, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata,” Junaid wrote. “May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings. The Janazah details will be shared later insha Allah.”

Alhaji Aminu Dantata was widely respected not only for his immense contributions to Nigeria’s business landscape but also for his deep philanthropic efforts that spanned several decades.
