LAGOS — Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has distanced himself from the ongoing feud between actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, describing such disputes as too complex to mediate.
Speaking in a recent interview, the respected actor said disagreements among women are often difficult to resolve, warning that men who вмешт in such matters risk worsening the situation.
According to him, “conflicts between women are worse than Hitler’s war,” emphasizing that, unlike men who can settle issues quickly, women’s disputes tend to be more complicated.
Ogogo questioned the basis of the rift, noting that both actresses are successful in their own right and have no reason for prolonged conflict.
“What is the reason for the fight when God has already blessed both of them?” he asked, expressing confidence that both parties would eventually resolve their differences.
The controversy gained traction after a viral video showed Akindele appearing to ignore Abraham’s greeting at a movie premiere hosted by Iyabo Ojo.
Iyabo Ojo has since confirmed she previously attempted to mediate between the two stars but has stepped back from further involvement.
Meanwhile, Kolawole Ajeyemi, Toyin Abraham’s husband, publicly praised his wife for her composure, suggesting she has chosen to remain silent despite the growing public attention.
Observers say the situation highlights recurring tensions within Nollywood, though many fans remain hopeful that both actresses will reconcile in due course.
