Okiki Olundegun Congratulates Yayi on Emergence as Ogun APC Governorship Candidate
The Ogun State House of Assembly All Progressives Congress candidate for Ado-Odo/Ota Constituency 1, Okiki Olundegun, has congratulated Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi on his emergence as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general election.
In a congratulatory message made available to Newsheadline247 and personally signed by him, Olundegun described Yayi’s emergence as a defining political moment capable of rewriting the history of Ogun West, which has struggled for more than five decades to produce a governor since the creation of Ogun State.
Olundegun said the emergence of Senator Adeola represents not just a victory for the APC, but a long-awaited opportunity for Ogun West to finally occupy the highest political office in the state. He noted that the development has reignited hope across the district and strengthened the belief that power rotation and inclusiveness remain vital to the unity and progress of Ogun State.
“This is a historic and emotional moment for the people of Ogun West. Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi’s emergence has renewed the hope of our people after decades of political marginalisation. We believe the time has finally come for Ogun West to produce the governor of Ogun State,” Olundegun stated.
He added that residents and party faithful in Ado-Odo/Ota Constituency 1 are fully mobilised and prepared to work tirelessly for Yayi’s victory at the polls, insisting that the task ahead requires collective commitment from all stakeholders across the state.
“Our people are ready and committed to this project. The victory of Senator Yayi is not only the responsibility of Ogun West alone, but that of every progressive-minded citizen across Ogun State who desires fairness, continuity and inclusive governance,” he added.
Olundegun expressed confidence that Senator Adeola possesses the political experience, leadership capacity and grassroots appeal needed to lead Ogun State into a new era of development and stability, while urging APC members and supporters to remain united ahead of the 2027 elections.
