Tinubu Will Overcome Nigeria’s Challenges, Complete Projects with Divine Support — Umahi

Minister of Works David Umahi has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will continue to receive divine guidance to steer Nigeria’s development agenda and address pressing national challenges through 2031.

Umahi made the remarks on Thursday during an inspection tour of ongoing bridge projects in Lagos State, including the Carter Bridge, which is set to undergo major reconstruction starting next week.

Speaking to journalists during the visit, the minister said he believes God will continue to support the Tinubu administration in tackling critical issues confronting the nation, particularly insecurity.

According to him, Nigerians should support the government’s efforts to restore peace and stability across the country.

“The same God that brought him will continue to be there to solve all the problems,” Umahi said, urging citizens to cooperate with the administration as it works to overcome security challenges.

He noted that every government faces difficult moments and that effective leadership requires confronting challenges head-on rather than avoiding them.

“There is no leader who will not want his reign to be peaceful, but when crises come, the leader must confront them. That is exactly what we are doing,” he stated.

The minister added that regardless of the causes of the country’s security concerns, President Tinubu would be granted the wisdom and strength needed to overcome them and advance national development.

Umahi also expressed optimism that all infrastructure projects initiated under the current administration would be completed successfully.

“Your hands that have started this will complete it,” he said, reiterating his belief that the administration continues to enjoy divine favour.

On the reconstruction of Carter Bridge, Umahi disclosed that the project is expected to be completed within three years as part of the Federal Government’s broader infrastructure development strategy.

“It is within our five-year plan,” the minister added.
