United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc will host the latest edition of its quarterly UBA Business Series on Thursday, July 16, 2026, with a focus on helping businesses transform customer feedback into technology-driven solutions tailored to Africa’s realities.
The virtual event, themed “Building for Africa’s Realities: Turning Consumer Feedback into Technology-Driven Solutions,” is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. (WAT) and will be streamed live across UBA’s digital platforms, including its official YouTube channel.
The session will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and technology innovators to discuss how businesses can create products designed specifically for African markets instead of relying on solutions developed for other regions.
Featured speakers include rapper and entrepreneur M I Abaga, venture capitalist and Octerra Capital co-founder Ashim Egunjobi, and Chowdeck co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Femi Aluko. The discussion will be moderated by media entrepreneur and founder Adaora Mbelu.
During the event, panelists are expected to share insights from their entrepreneurial journeys, discuss investing in innovative startups, and explain how businesses can remain responsive to customer needs while building products that solve real challenges.
Speaking ahead of the event, UBA’s Group Head of Brands, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and businesses driving Africa’s economic growth.
According to her, successful African businesses thrive by listening to their customers, adapting to changing demands and developing products that address local needs.
She added that the Business Series aims to provide entrepreneurs with practical knowledge while creating a platform for meaningful discussions on technology, product development and sustainable business growth.
