A social mobilizer and community development advocate, Comrade Musa Idris Buko, has been appointed Director of Coalition and Stakeholders Engagement for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign in Kwara State.
The appointment was announced by the Kwara State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Youth Engagement and Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Nafisat Buge, in a letter dated June 1, 2026.
According to the letter, Buko’s appointment recognises his loyalty, commitment and continued support for the Renewed Hope agenda under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The coordinator stated that his leadership qualities and dedication to grassroots development made him a suitable choice for the strategic position.
Renewed Hope Youth Engagement is a youth-focused political movement established to mobilise young Nigerians in support of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The initiative also aims to galvanise support for the APC governorship candidate and other party candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The movement is led nationally by Vice President Kashim Shettima as Grand Patron, while AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq serves as Patron. The organisers say the initiative promotes youth participation and inclusive governance.
As Director of Coalition and Stakeholders Engagement in Kwara State, Buko is expected to coordinate engagements with traditional rulers, religious leaders, professional associations, community-based organisations, youth groups and other political stakeholders to strengthen support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid, the APC governorship candidate and other party candidates across the state.
Buko currently serves as National Secretary of the Indigenous Ethnic Youth Leaders of Nigeria (IEYLN), Vice President of the Baruten Progressive Association (BPA), and is a former House of Representatives candidate. He also previously chaired the Coalition of Kwara North Groups (CKNG).
A policy development expert and social mobilisation advocate, Buko holds a master’s degree from Kwara State University, Malete, and has obtained leadership, governance and sustainable development certifications from the United Nations Systems Staff College and other institutions across Africa.
