The founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Abiodun Akinboyede Movement, AAMO, Barrister Abiodun Akinboyede, has felicitated the Ogun State APC governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, on his 57th birthday, describing him as a dependable, committed and visionary leader capable of taking the state to greater heights.
Akinboyede, a strong ally of the senator, said Yayi’s years of public service had demonstrated his commitment to the development and progress of Ogun State, adding that his leadership qualities had positioned him as the most qualified candidate to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2027.
In a goodwill message marking Yayi’s birthday, Akinboyede described the senator as a leader whose political journey had been defined by resilience, courage, accessibility and an unwavering commitment to the people.
He said, “Today, I celebrate not just a friend, brother and dependable ally, but a leader whose life and public service have continued to inspire confidence and hope among our people. Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi represents courage, commitment and purposeful leadership.
“Over the years, Yayi has demonstrated that leadership is not about occupying an office; it is about having the courage to serve, the compassion to listen and the vision to build a better future for the people. His commitment to Ogun State is evident in his contributions to the development of our dear state and his relentless pursuit of opportunities for our people.”
Akinboyede said the senator’s experience, grassroots connection and understanding of the aspirations of Ogun residents made him uniquely qualified to take over from Governor Dapo Abiodun.
“Yayi is reliable, accessible and deeply committed to the progress of Ogun State. At this critical juncture in our state’s history, we need a leader who understands where we are, where we want to go and what must be done to get there. I firmly believe that Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi possesses the experience, capacity and determination required to lead Ogun into its next chapter,” he said.
According to Akinboyede, the senator’s emergence as the APC governorship candidate presents an opportunity for Ogun State to consolidate its development gains while pursuing a broader vision of prosperity and inclusive growth.
He described Yayi’s governorship ambition as more than a personal political project, insisting that it should be viewed as a collective responsibility of the people of Ogun State.
“Yayi’s governorship project is a collective responsibility of all Ogun State indigenes and residents. It is an historic push to achieve the dream of a prosperous, united and greater Ogun that we have all been craving for. This is bigger than one individual or one political organisation. It is about the future of our state and the kind of legacy we want to leave for generations yet unborn,” Akinboyede said.
He urged Ogun residents across political, ethnic, religious and professional divides to rally behind Yayi and work towards ensuring his victory at the 2027 governorship election.
“I call on all our people to rally behind Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi. Let us put Ogun first and support a candidate with the capacity, experience and commitment to move our state forward. The task before us is clear, and with unity of purpose, we can secure a decisive victory for Yayi in 2027,” he added.
Akinboyede also prayed for the senator, asking God to grant him many more years in good health, wisdom and strength to continue serving the people.
“On this special occasion of your 57th birthday, I pray that Almighty God will continue to strengthen you, protect you and grant you sound health, wisdom and uncommon grace. May He bless your family, enlarge your coast and guide every step you take in service to our people.
“May this new chapter of your life bring greater fulfilment, divine favour and remarkable accomplishments. May God grant you the courage to continue pursuing your vision for Ogun State and crown your efforts with success. Happy 57th birthday, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi. May the years ahead be even more impactful, prosperous and rewarding,” Akinboyede said.
