Senior Pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, Jimmy Odukoya, has publicly introduced Pastor Mo Jasmine as his new wife, while revealing that his first marriage to Kemi Odukoya had ended.
Jimmy, a Nigerian actor-turned-pastor, made the announcement during a church service on Sunday, introducing Mo Jasmine to members of the congregation as his wife.
Addressing worshippers, the cleric disclosed that he had been without a wife since assuming leadership of the church in 2023, following the death of his father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.
He explained that he had been carrying out his pastoral responsibilities alone before finding someone he described as suitable.
“So, you know ever since I became your pastor, I was doing this work of life alone. And you know that the Bible says it is not good. It said I will find somebody suitable.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you for the first time Pastor Mrs Odukoya,” he said.
The church also congratulated the couple in a post on Instagram, sharing photographs and videos of them and welcoming Mo Jasmine into her new role.
“Congratulations to our senior pastor and First Lady Pastor Mo,” the church wrote.
Jimmy had previously kept the dissolution of his first marriage away from public attention, leaving some social media users surprised by the announcement, as many had believed he was still married to his former wife, Kemi Odukoya.
The former couple got married in 2013 and had two children together. However, details surrounding the breakdown of their marriage have not been made public.
Jimmy assumed leadership of the Fountain of Life Church in 2023 following the death of his father, Taiwo Odukoya, who founded the church.
