The Agbaakin of Ota, Aworiland, Chief Olajide Adeniji has congratulated the Olota of Ota, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdul Kabir Obalanlege, Lanlege Ekun II as the coordinator of the Olofin Ogunfunminire Descendants Rebirth (OODR) by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunlusi, Ojaja II.
In a congratulatory message seen by newsheadline247, Chief Adeniji who lauded the decision of Ooni on the appointment described the new role as a testimony of Oba Obalange’s forthrightness, diligence and commitment to the unification of Awori people and the entire Yoruba race.
“Kabiyesi, this appointment is obviously a testimony of your forthrightness, diligence and commitment to the unification of Awori people and the entire Yoruba race,” Chief Adeniji stated.
He further said in the message that, “It is also these same qualities that endeared you to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunlusi, Ojaja II, who believed in your abilities and took this noble and commendable decision of appointing you to manage this massive project of the Olofin Ogunfunminire Descendants Rebirth (OODR).
“I, therefore, wish you all the very best of success ahead of your new fatherly and royal role on all that concerns Olofin Ogunfunminire Descendants Rebirth (OODR).”
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunlusi, Ojaja II, had last week appointed the Olota of Otta, Oba Professor Obalanlege, Lanlege Ekun II, as the coordinator of the Olofin Ogunfunminire Descendants Rebirth.

In a letter he personally signed, Ooni Ogunwusi said the Olota was chosen as the coordinator of the rebirth because he is culturally astute and deeply interested at uniting the lineage of the 34th Ooni of Ife, Ooni Aribiwoso.
Olota’s appointment is expected to lead to the establishment of the Olofin Nations Assembly (ONA).
The Olofin Nations Assembly, ONA, is charged, among others, with the responsibility of identifying all the lineage descendants, establish a platform for unity and create avenues for economic cooperation among the descendants.
It is also to harness and rebuild the traditional ties required for international standards
