Democracy Day 2026: Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo Felicitates Ado-Odo/Ota Residents, Calls for Unity and Progress

Engr. Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the House of Representatives in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency and widely known among supporters as NaijaBabe, has extended warm Democracy Day greetings to residents of the constituency, urging them to remain committed to unity, peace and collective progress.

In a message released on Friday, June 12, 2026, and made available to newsheadline247, Agemo-Okuboyejo described Democracy Day as a significant occasion that goes beyond the celebration of democratic governance, noting that it also serves as a reminder of the resilience, courage and collective spirit that define the people of Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency.

The PDP stalwart emphasized that democracy thrives when leadership is anchored on service, accountability, inclusiveness and the prioritisation of the welfare of the people. She stressed that the essence of democratic governance lies in ensuring that every citizen has a voice and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society.

Reflecting on the sacrifices made by pro-democracy heroes who fought for the freedoms Nigerians enjoy today, Agemo-Okuboyejo called on residents to renew their commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous constituency where no community is left behind. According to her, every community matters, every voice deserves to be heard and every citizen should have the opportunity to thrive in an environment of peace, fairness and economic growth.

She further noted that the diversity of Ado-Odo/Ota remains one of its greatest strengths and urged residents to continue embracing unity as a foundation for sustainable development.
