Coker enjoins Muslims to continue to offer prayer for peace, unity and prosperity of Nigeria

Former Director General of the Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation, NTDC, Folorunsho Coker, has urged. Muslims in Nigerians to consolidate on the gains, teachings, knowledge, perseverance and honesty practiced all through the period of Ramadan by making them permanent features of their lives.

Coker, a respected politician cum socialite fondly called Folly Coker, urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the lessons and spirits of the fasting month and let the lessons of the holy month guide their conduct in society henceforth.

“For Muslims, Ramadan has been a time of fasting, prayer and spiritual renewal. These past four weeks have also been a time to serve the less fortunate — a reminder of the obligations that people of all faiths have to each other.” Coker said.

Wishing Muslims across the country “Eid mubarak” (happy holiday), Coker said the celebrations in Nigeria speak to “the truth that communities of faith — both Christians and Muslims enrich our national life, strengthen our democracy and uphold our freedoms, including the freedom of religion.”

He enjoins Muslims to continue to offer prayers for peace, unity and prosperity of Nigeria saying, “Islam is a religion of peace and if its adherents go to God in prayer with sincerity, He will surely answer.

“I therefore ask you to pray for the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for Allah’s continuous guidance and divine wisdom to lead this country to the promise land. I believe with your prayers, Nigeria will overcome its current challenges”

“Wherever you find yourselves, radiate the peace that Islam preaches and the love and care for the less privileged that Prophet Muhammad exemplified.” he encouraged
