Real Madrid on Sunday night trashed fierce rival Barcelona in a recent most anticipated El Classico 2-0 after 19year old Vinicius Junior broke Lionel Messi ’s record by becoming the youngest player to score in El Clasico in the 21st century.

The 19-year-old, in the second half, scored Real Madrid ’s first goal in the pulsating encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Messi became the youngest player in the modern era to score in a Clasico when he notched in a 3-3 draw at the Nou Camp in March 2007.

The trashing of Barcelona moves Los Blancos back to the top of La Liga summit by a single point over the Catalans with just 12 games to go.

Zidane reacts…

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has said they deserved their 2-0 victory over Barcelona on Sunday.

Vinicius Jr opened the scoring in the second half, becoming the youngest player to find the back of the net in the El Clasico.

Mariano Diaz then climbed off the bench to make the points safe in stoppage time.

“We deserve the victory for everything we have done, the offensive and the defensive.

“It’s three important points after a complicated week, we had a chance to change that but it really doesn’t change anything, we have to go on and we’ll fight until the end,” Zidane told reporters after the match.
