African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship aspirant in Ogun state Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI) on Wednesday said his aspiration was a reflection of the people’s interest and that he carries the huge burden to liberate the people from misgovernance.

He noted that the widespread and cultlike followership he enjoys in the state today was because he has over the years identified with the people’s desires, and they have in turn appreciated and now identifying with his good intentions.

Isiaka spoke with journalists at Imeko, his hometown where he was joined by family members, ADC chiefains, mornarchs, associates across political divides, various aspirants and thousands of teeming supporters from the twenty local government areas of the state that gathered to celebrate his annual Eid-El-Kabir open house party.

The former Group Managing Director of Gateway Holding Limited said his unrivalled knowledge of Ogun state, the length of time he has gone round to seek for votes and the sincerity of his messages has endearded him to the people.

According to him, “I am no stranger to our people. They know me, my antecedents, pedigree and capabilities. They trust me and are ready to give me their votes once again; which by God’s grace will fully count this time around”.

Continuing, “You can see the whole of this large venue is filled with people who have come from all over the state  to celebrate with me. My aspiration is beyond political party, religious or ethnic affiliation. I now carry the burden to liberate Ogun state masses from misgovernance of the APC and restore their dignity”.

The two time gubernatorial candidate said the altercation between the Executive and National Assembly is indicative of how badly the APC has mismanaged itself and the country.

“The situation is even worse in Ogun state. The current system has failed the people. The socioeconomic life of the people is bad while government continues to put borrowed monies into drain pipe projects. These must stop and I am prepared and burdened to do it”.

Isiaka however assured the gathering that his party, the ADC is morally obligated to implement people oriented programmes and his 7 steps to abundance manifesto will be vigorously pursued.

“I urge everyone to return home, sustain the tempo of support and let us speak with one voice till we chase out the APC and install a people’s government”; he concluded.

Dignitaries present at the  event include Chief (Mrs) Ayoka Adebayo, (Rtd)  General Ekundayo Opalaye, Chief Joju Fadairo, Bashorun Niyi Salako, Onimeko of Imeko land, Oba Busari Adelere Alamu Adetona, Hon. Hon Johnson Fatoki, Chief Nurudeen Olaleye among several others.
