Controversial Nigerian self-acclaimed relationship expert Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has lost her second son while still in detention at Kirikiri Prison.
The death of her son, Bryan, came roughly a month after she was remanded over an alleged ₦69.15 million property fraud case. The news, which had circulated online in recent days, was confirmed on Friday evening by Amira Agiye, CEO of the Isaamira Love Foundation, who publicly appealed for donations on Blessing CEO’s behalf.
In a statement, Agiye said: “It is sad to announce to you all that Blessing CEO just lost her second son. My name is Amira Agiye. I’m here to appeal on behalf of Blessing CEO, who is currently in custody. I understand that people might have different opinions about her and the circumstances surrounding her case. And like everyone of us, she deserves compassion and an opportunity for redemption. She needs ₦20 million to meet the bail requirements. She also needs ₦36 million to pay the people she owes who brought the case against her. Please, Nigerians, let’s forgive her for the sake of that boy who is still in the mortuary. With Blessing’s full consent and authorisation, I’m appealing to all Nigerians to help donate so we can help her out of this situation.”
In a voice note shared by Agiye, Blessing CEO herself spoke about the loss: “My second son, Bryan, was full of life. While in custody, I lost Bryan. I pray this turns out positive so I can leave this place, pick up the pieces of my life and pay my respects to him.”
According to reports, Blessing CEO was granted ₦20 million bail in July 2026, with two sureties in like sum. Each surety was required to provide three years’ proof of deposits valued at ₦20 million. Unable to meet these conditions, she has remained in Kirikiri Prison for about two months since the bail was granted.
The appeal for public support now combines the need to satisfy the bail terms and settle outstanding claims linked to the fraud case so she can secure her release and bury her son.
