Former Big Brother Naija star Segun Olusemo, popularly known as Sheggz, has firmly rejected claims that he depended financially on his ex-girlfriend Bella Okagbue during their high-profile relationship.
The pair first connected inside the BBNaija house in 2022 and continued dating after the show ended. Their four-year romance officially came to a close in January 2026, a fact Sheggz publicly confirmed in August.
Following the announcement, Bella accused her former partner of displaying a “double personality.” She alleged that Sheggz owed her millions of naira and had made “hundreds of promises” that remained unfulfilled.
In a recent interview with Oyemykke, Sheggz addressed the allegations head-on. He dismissed any suggestion that he collected money from Bella or lived off her, rejecting the “gigolo” label outright.
“I’m not a gigolo. Bro, is it possible? I have a job. I make money as I work hard,” he stated. “I have my house in London, and I have my house in Banana Island, Lagos. I’ve been balling since way back.”
Sheggz maintained that both partners contributed to the relationship, describing the financial dynamic as roughly 70/30. “I’m not saying she’s lying. She brought stuff to the table… She’s a woman; she works as well. She’s a star too; we’re both stars.”
He added that Bella lived with him and that he provided for her extensively, including buying her a car. “I did everything for her. I loved her to bits. That was my girl. If we got married, this wouldn’t be a conversation. Because we didn’t get married, now everyone is saying crazy stuff.”
The exchange marks the latest chapter in the ongoing fallout between two of BBNaija’s most talked-about stars.
