Chief Jide Ojuko has celebrated Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi on his 57th birthday, expressing confidence that the Ogun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will transform the state and take it to greater heights if elected in 2027.
Ojuko, in a heartfelt birthday message to Yayi on Monday, August 10, 2026, described the senator as a leader with the experience, capacity and determination required to build on Ogun State’s progress and unlock its greater potential.
He said Yayi’s 57th birthday offered an opportunity not only to celebrate his life and accomplishments but also to look ahead to what he believes could be a new chapter for Ogun under his leadership.
“Today, I celebrate a remarkable friend and brother, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, on the occasion of his 57th birthday. I celebrate his life, his achievements, his resilience and, most importantly, the greater possibilities that lie ahead of him,” Ojuko said.
According to him, Yayi’s years in public service have given him the experience and understanding required to provide purposeful leadership at the state level.
Ojuko said he was optimistic that Yayi would bring a combination of experience, vision and commitment to governance, with the people of Ogun State ultimately being the biggest beneficiaries.
“I have no doubt that Senator Yayi has the capacity to provide the kind of leadership that will move Ogun State forward. His experience in public service, his understanding of our people and his determination to make a difference give me great confidence in what he can achieve,” he stated.
He said a Yayi administration would have the opportunity to build on the state’s existing strengths while pursuing policies and programmes capable of improving the lives of residents and positioning Ogun for greater economic growth.
“Ogun State is blessed with enormous human and economic potential. With the right leadership, there is no limit to what our state can achieve. I strongly believe that a government led by Senator Yayi will harness these opportunities, attract more investment, create greater opportunities for our people and take Ogun to greater heights,” Ojuko said.
Ojuko also expressed confidence in Yayi’s ability to unite different interests and stakeholders around a common vision for the state, stressing that governance should be centred on development rather than division.
“Leadership is about bringing people together, building trust and creating an environment where everyone has an opportunity to prosper. I believe Senator Yayi understands this and will provide leadership that gives every part of Ogun a sense of belonging,” he added.
While making only a brief reference to their longstanding political relationship, Ojuko said the bond had given him an opportunity to witness Yayi’s evolution as a public servant and strengthened his confidence in his ability to lead.
“Our relationship over the years has given me the opportunity to know Senator Yayi beyond politics. I have seen his commitment, his determination and his desire to contribute to the growth of our people. These are qualities that give me confidence in the future,” he said.
With Yayi preparing to contest the 2027 governorship election, Ojuko said the senator’s birthday should also serve as a moment to reflect on the responsibility that comes with public leadership.
He urged Yayi to remain focused on the people and the larger task of building an Ogun State that is more prosperous, inclusive and competitive.

“I believe the best is yet to come. I believe that under your leadership, Ogun can rise to even greater heights. May your vision become reality, and may the people of Ogun State ultimately be the greatest beneficiaries of your service,” he said.
