Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has reinstated Muhammadu Sanusi II to the throne, four years after he was deposed as the Emir of Kano.
The governor made the announcement of the decision at around 5:16 pm on Thursday, in the Art Chamber of the Kano State Government House after signing the Kano State Emirate Council (Repeal) Bill 2024 into law.
Former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje had dethroned Sanusi in 2020, following a personal rift. Also, the Governor Ganduje broke the powerful Kano emirate into five emirates and appointed four other first-class emirs in May 2019.
