Jimi Agbaje, the Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has promised to revamp the state education via making teaching attractive to those in service and future teachers.
Scooped from one of his trending campaign videos, Agbaje said the system has made teaching a last option unlike what the profession was in the past.
“Now teaching is like a last option which it shouldn’t be and therefore you must attract benefits for those who want to come into teaching that’s very important and that is what we are going to do,” Agbaje promised.
In another related video, Agbaje also assured better life for Lagos state civil servants adding that there is no way to make teaching attractive without making the entire public service attractive.
“We are going to make teaching attractive just like we are going to make the entire public service attractive, again, in terms in public service, we’ll take good care of the civil servants to get the best results,” he said.
