Maami Ijebu Launches Ogun State Market-to-Market Campaign for Tinubu, Yayi, APC Candidates

Maami Ijebu, the popular grassroots politician and political mobiliser in Ogun East, Hon. Mrs. Olayinka Kondu, has officially unveiled a Market-to-Market Campaign Team aimed at delivering massive electoral support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, his running mate, Mrs. Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, and all APC candidates across the State.

The initiative, which is expected to focus heavily on market communities and grassroots mobilisation, is targeting no fewer than one million votes across Ogun State as the APC intensifies preparations for the forthcoming elections.

The development was disclosed on Saturday by Mrs. Kondu’s Special Assistant, Miss Oluwafunke Adesanya, during a chat with Newsheadline247. She explained that the campaign has been carefully designed to penetrate every major market and community across Ogun State, engaging eligible voters directly and encouraging widespread participation in support of the APC at all levels.

According to her, the Market-to-Market Campaign will go beyond traditional political rallies by taking the APC’s message directly to traders, artisans, business owners and residents in towns and villages across the State, with Mrs. Kondu personally leading the grassroots mobilisation effort.

“This campaign is designed to reach every eligible voter in the markets and communities across Ogun State. Our goal is to mobilise massive support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi and all APC candidates,” Miss Adesanya said.

She added that a comprehensive mobilisation roadmap has already been developed to ensure the campaign reaches all corners of Ogun State before the elections.

Miss Adesanya described Mrs. Kondu, widely known as Maami Ijebu, as a committed progressive whose political philosophy aligns closely with the ideals of the ruling APC. She said the grassroots leader believes President Tinubu’s ongoing economic and governance reforms have laid a strong foundation for Nigeria’s future and expressed confidence that Senator Adeola would replicate a similar development-driven approach if elected governor of Ogun State.

“Maami Ijebu believes President Tinubu’s reforms are already laying the foundation for long-term development, while Senator Solomon Adeola has demonstrated through his record in the Senate that he possesses the capacity to deliver transformational projects across Ogun State,” Miss Adesanya said.

Adesanya noted that although Senator Adeola currently represents Ogun West in the Senate, his constituency projects and interventions have spread across the three senatorial districts, a feat she described as unprecedented in the state’s political history.

“The impact of Senator Adeola’s representation has been felt in virtually every part of Ogun State. His record of performance has convinced many people that he can replicate even greater achievements as governor,” she added.

She explained that the Market-to-Market Campaign is a deliberate grassroots strategy designed to consolidate support for the APC, particularly among market women, traders and other community stakeholders regarded as critical voting blocs in Ogun State.

According to her, the campaign team is confident that its extensive grassroots network will significantly boost voter mobilisation and contribute to securing victory for President Tinubu, Senator Adeola, his running mate, Mrs Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun and other APC candidates in the elections.

Miss Adesanya expressed optimism that the initiative would strengthen the party’s presence across Ogun State and reaffirm the state’s commitment to the APC through sustained engagement with voters at the community level.
