Meet Olajumoke Adenuga-Led Miss Nigeria Michigan Super Team Driving Women’s Empowerment
Professor Olajumoke Adenuga has transformed Miss Nigeria Michigan from a traditional beauty pageant into a platform that is shaping the next generation of Nigerian women through leadership, cultural pride, education and community service.
At the heart of the organisation is a diverse team of accomplished professionals drawn from education, law, entrepreneurship, fashion, social work, communications and community development, all united by a shared mission to empower young Nigerian women across the diaspora.
A former professional model, award-winning fashion designer, educator and entrepreneur, Adenuga founded Miss Nigeria Michigan with a vision to celebrate Nigerian heritage while equipping contestants with the confidence, leadership skills and community spirit needed to become impactful ambassadors wherever they find themselves.
Her journey began on Nigeria’s fashion runways, where she built a successful modelling career through television commercials, print campaigns and billboard advertisements. She later transitioned into entrepreneurship by establishing Ayaba Collection, a fashion brand renowned for blending elegance with African cultural identity.
Her contribution to fashion earned her the prestigious Detroit Fashion Designer of the Year Award in 2018 at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, while her work as an educator and mentor has inspired countless young women to pursue excellence beyond the stage.
Today, Adenuga leads Miss Nigeria Michigan as its Chief Executive Officer and Visionary Leader, providing strategic direction for the platform’s growth, partnerships, mentorship programmes and cultural initiatives. Under her leadership, the organisation has evolved into a movement dedicated to producing confident, educated and service-driven Nigerian-American women who proudly represent their heritage on the global stage.
Supporting that vision is a powerhouse executive team bringing decades of professional experience to the organisation.
Serving as Pageant Operations Director is Dr. Elizabeth Ajayi-Bridges, an accomplished higher education administrator, entrepreneur and leadership strategist with more than two decades of experience. As Campus Dean at Wayne County Community College District and Founder of Invest 365 Academy and EVAE Services, she oversees pageant operations, contestant experience, partnerships and production while ensuring the organisation remains aligned with its mission of leadership development and cultural excellence.
Legal practitioner Eberechi Ogbuaku serves as Operations and Production Coordinator, managing venue logistics, technical production, rehearsals and event execution. A licensed attorney in Michigan and New York, she also hosts the Young Professional African Collective podcast, where she amplifies stories of Africans making an impact across the continent and the diaspora.
Contestant Experience Coordinator Mrs. Noella Nwosu-Amene brings extensive expertise in beauty, branding and community engagement. Founder of Ella Enhances and Director of Public Relations and Communications for Umu Igbo Unite, she guides contestants through every stage of the competition while creating an environment that promotes confidence, personal growth and cultural identity.
Image, Styling and Presentation Coordinator Tejumola Mowo-Wale, a licensed social worker, therapist and founder of ICARE Consulting, combines advocacy with personal development to prepare contestants for life beyond the pageant. Through coaching, etiquette, styling and presentation, she helps participants project confidence, authenticity and professionalism.
Driving the organisation’s public visibility is Marketing and Communications Coordinator Barakat Olaniyan, founder of the Afrocentric fashion brand Bethanykulture. She leads digital campaigns, media engagement, branding and storytelling that continue to expand the platform’s reach within the Nigerian diaspora and beyond.
Ensuring seamless event execution is Event Day Logistics Coordinator Mrs. Ayotunde Mobolaji Cole, an educator, entrepreneur and business owner with more than 20 years of leadership experience. Her expertise in operations, volunteer coordination and live event management helps deliver a world-class experience for contestants, guests and partners.
Together, the team represents a blend of accomplished professionals whose expertise extends far beyond pageantry. They are educators, lawyers, entrepreneurs, therapists, fashion leaders and community advocates committed to nurturing future leaders while promoting Nigerian culture and excellence.
Beyond her professional achievements, Adenuga remains deeply committed to family and service. A devoted wife and mother of three daughters, she credits faith, resilience and family values as the driving forces behind her leadership journey.
As Miss Nigeria Michigan continues to grow, the organisation is redefining what modern pageantry represents—moving beyond crowns and sashes to create a platform where leadership, education, culture and community impact take centre stage.
