The predominance of rags and infestation by rats of a home connotes abject poverty, contagious wretchedness, and resilient hopelessness.
While rags dim the glory and honour of a people, bestowing on them the tag of outcasts within the larger group, rats feed fat on their ‘stored’ present and future, amounting to progressing powerlessness.
Hopefully, however, that extremely brave and resoundingly committed, or rededicated aspirant to that exalted office could simply rid us, Osun, of the image-damaging rags and the rampaging rats in a single forceful slap, once in the next-four-year saddle.
