Nigeria, on Thursday, recorded an alarming 745 confirmed new cases of COVID-19, its highest single-day surge since its index case in February.
The new number of the virus patients now brings the total cases in the country to 18, 480, with 6, 307 recoveries and 475 deaths.

According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, Lagos added 280, Oyo 103 and Ebonyi 72. The NCDC says it has tested 106, 006 samples as at June 17, 2020.
