Edith Agoye, the manager of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), has hinged the team’s loss to FC Nilayo in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital on lack of concentration on the side of his players.

“You are disappointed when you lose this kind of match, against a lowly-rated team”, Agoye said after the away loss, the team’s second defeat in the season.

The high flying Shooting Stars gaffer disclosed that their aim was to win the match but was disappointed over the loss.

The Oluyole Warriors have recorded remarkable results as they intensify their determination for promotion back to the elite summit of Nigerian football.

Agoye, after the Abeokuta loss, confessed that they were lucky not to concede a second goal because the pressure was too much.

He concluded that sometimes, games like this happen, but “we move on,” he stated further, “we push on the end of the season, and our aim will be achieved”

Despite the loss on Sunday, the Oluyole Warriors still maintain their distant top spot on the Group B-1 table, with 35 points from 15 matches,9 points between them and Go Round FC who garnered 26 points from the same number of matches.

With their victory over the informed Shooting Stars, FC Nilayo swam out of the relegation zone, with 19 points from 15 matches.
