GFF, Sharing Hope Set to Begin 14-Day Medical Mission in Ogun
Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel is sponsoring a 14-day free medical outreach in Ogun State that will provide residents with access to specialist healthcare, including eye, gynaecological, orthopaedic and plastic surgeries.
The medical mission is scheduled to hold from October 9 to 24, 2026, at the Redeemers Health Village, RCCG Camp, Mowe, Ogun State, with beneficiaries expected to receive a wide range of medical services at no cost.
The intervention, tagged “Training and Surgical Medical Mission,” is being organised by Sharing Hope Medical Mission (USA) and Sharing Hope and Care Foundation in partnership with the Gateway Front Foundation (GFF) and Redeemers Health Village.
The programme will run daily from 9am to 5pm and will provide major and minor surgeries, gynaecological procedures, eye surgeries, orthopaedic care and plastic surgery for burn-related conditions. Beneficiaries will also have access to free medical supplies.
Beyond the treatment of patients, the outreach will include training for healthcare practitioners as part of efforts to strengthen professional capacity and improve the delivery of mission-based healthcare.
Daniel, who represents Ogun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, is supporting the initiative through the Gateway Front Foundation in partnership with the other organisations involved in the mission.
The organisers said the programme is aimed at reaching residents who may face financial or access barriers to specialist medical treatment, particularly those requiring surgical intervention.
They said the combination of free specialist care and healthcare training is expected to extend the impact of the initiative beyond the 14-day outreach by supporting both patients and medical professionals.
