A Toronto, Canada based international business man and politician, Mr Gbenga Oni has thrown his weight behind Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon (Yayi) to succeed governor Ibikunle Amosun  as the next governor of Ogun State in 2019.

Gbeng Oni, who is popularly called ‘Mantee’ by friends and admirers, disclosed that his decision to align with the aspiration of Yayi is borne out of the desire to install a credible and resourceful  individual as the governor of Ogun State after the expiration of the second term of the incumbent.

“I have the conviction that Senator Adeola, a confirmed indigene of Ogun State will deploy all his energy and intellectual resources to transform Ogun State and bring the desired development we all want for our state. I am convinced that Yayi is being driven by the passion to serve Ogun people and no amount of persecution from any quarters can stop him. Yayi is a political colossus in Nigeria already and he can not be cowed into submission.” The businessman said.

Mr Oni futher stated that he is already mobilizing thousands of Ogun State indigenes in America and Europe to give their support to the aspiration of Senator Adeola come 2019.

“I can tell you that in Canada here, the words on the lips of Ogun indigenes is ‘Yayi for governor’. We are sensitizing our people here. But interestingly, some Nigerians here in Canada who are not indigenes of our state have joined us to support Yayi, both morally and financially.

“Apart from all these, some of us here in Toronto have engaged in massive mobilization drive across Europe and America for Senator Adeola. We believe in him and have decided to stand with him till he wins the election.” Oni declared.

“I don’t need to meet or speak with him. I have been following his activities and really admire his zeal and gusto with which he is going about his aspiration. We in the diaspora have taken a decision to stand with him because of our love for Ogun State”. The Ogun State born businessman asserted.
